Hands down — the absolute BEST doggy daycare & boarding in Toronto! We have 2 high energy medium/large dogs, so structured days + frequent walks were what drew us in (things no other daycare we’ve been to has offered). We love the regular pic/video updates, and their brand new fully enclosed outdoor space offers our pups even more outside time throughout the day. "My pup is gentle soul and needs thoughtful, compassionate care- and that’s exactly what she receives at Prudent Paws. The owner Shanice keeps a close eye on her and all the other pups under her care, watching for any health statuses or behaviors- and play! Be it any of the three, Shanice updates me daily and if I have any questions, she responds promptly. She’s also been a life saver when life has been chaotic. Nova has enjoyed her weekly stays and I've noticed a positive (paw-stive if you will!) change since her visits! Before she was skittish around bigger dogs but Shanice worked with us during her meet and greet- now she says hi to every big dog she sees!

"I boarded my dog Cubert for 3 weeks while on vacation, and Prudent Paws went above and beyond with the level of care they provided. I loved how we got daily updates on how our dog was doing, it really set our mind at ease and allowed us to enjoy our vacation fully. I also liked how the facility is in the city since Cubert doesn't usually get that sort of exposure. I would definitely trust Shanice and her team to take care of Cubert again in the future."

"I have a Shiba Inu and this breed is known for not trusting people instantly. As for Shanice, she was an exception. My dog got super attached and trusted her almost immediately. Shanice was professional, friendly, communicative, and sent pictures and videos so you’re up to date with your dog’s stay. "My husband and I couldn’t be more happier with Shanice @ Prudent Paws! We had our rescue dog, Tanok, stay with Shanice while we were away on vacation. As a rescue dog, he struggles with mild reactivity on leash and we were struggling to find boarding that could accommodate him but also provide the socialization that he needed.

Booking the meet-and-greet was so easy. So many other places required lengthy forms, documents, and etc as the first step. But Shanice makes it easy and accessible for everyone- just book directly on her site! We also did a trial night for Tanok to see if it was a good fit and that really eased any concerns/ worries we had.

While we were away, Shanice gave us so many updates and cute/ funny videos. Communication was also top notch. We’re so thankful she was willing to work with Tanok despite his mild reactivity. He clearly had lots of fun, made new friends, and overall, had a great first boarding experience with Prudent Paws.

We will definitely be using her services again!!"

"Shanice has been wonderful with Homer. What we appreciate most is how responsive and reliable she is. It may seem expected, but that's not always the case and with Shanice, it makes a huge difference. She's always been there for us when we need her, whether it's for pup daycare when we're in the office or when we're away on a trip. In the past, our pup has been unpredictable with other dogs so we were concerned about how he'd interact with them. Shanice was attentive, kept a close eye and was firm to correct any behaviour as needed. Over the last few months, we've noticed a significant improvement and a lot can be attributed to how Shanice socialized him.

She adores every pup as if they were her own - you can tell by the way she engages with them and how they respond to her. We'd absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for exceptional care for their fur babies."

We recently boarded our dog for the first time with Shanice, and were so impressed by the level of care. Shanice sent regular updates, and from the pictures (not to mention how tired he was when we picked him up) we could tell he had a great time. "Very grateful this place exists. I rescued a dog last year and he's absolutely amazing except doesn't do well with overnight stays in kennels. I travel for work occasionally and rely on dog daycares to take care of my pup when I'm in meetings.
